Increasingly, there is a need for ESG measures to be considered in investment decisions of all types (US SIF, Sustainable Investing Trends Report, 2022).
Imvelo seeks and identifies humanitarian and development initiatives and then engages with global stakeholders across many sectors to create social impact. We are currently working with local partners and communities in Yemen, Jordan, Kenya, Cote d'Ivoire, Canada and USA on cross-cutting innovation projects.
Featured Innovation
SOLARES: Integrated Systems is an 18-month proof of concept project that seeks to adapt and test the effectiveness of SunShifter™, an evidence-based hybrid solar-powered electromobility unit which powers refrigerated truck transportation, thereby maintaining the cold chain requirements of medicines and vaccines. We combine this technology with our unique platform that enables resource sharing and optimization through a collaboration transportation network (CTN). The goal of the innovation is to reduce transportation-related CO2 emissions by transforming the reliance on power for the refrigeration of medicine to renewal energy while positively impacting both the quality and saving of lives in conflict-affected communities.
This Project, SOLARES: Integrated Systems, is supported by Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge; a partnership of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office , United Kingdomof Great Britain and Northern Ireland (FCDO), the Stabilisation and Humanitarian Aid
Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of the Netherlands (NL MFA), and His Majesty the King in right of Canada (“His Majesty”) represented by the Minister for International Development of Global Affairs Canada acting through The Department of Foreign Affairs,Trade and Development of Global Affairs Canada (“DFATD”) with support from Grand Challenges Canada”.
We combine our rigorous research methods with in-person engagement to create anti-fragile connections and opportunities. These opportunities act as a bridge between corporations and the communities in which they operate, which also helps organizations to improve their operations, overall performance and accountability.
Working with and within communities, we meet people where they are—appreciating their values, norms, beliefs and hopes for the future. We assess the need for balancing the interests of all stakeholders by organizing materiality assessments for meaningful and sustainable impact. We also appreciate the need to engage in essential ways identify obstacles and propose solutions long before problems take root. At Imvelo, we take great pride in structuring the bridges that naturally benefit our clients.
